Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2 August 2026

uptime100 designs, builds and hosts websites for small businesses. We are based in Rockhampton, Queensland, and you can reach us at hello@uptime100.com.au.

This policy explains what information uptime100.com.au collects, why, and who else touches it. It describes what this website actually does — not a generic template.

As a small business we may fall outside the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), which generally applies to organisations turning over more than $3 million a year. We handle your information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles regardless.

What we collect

When you submit the contact form, we receive what you type into it:

  • your name and email address
  • your business name, if you give one
  • your budget range, whether your content is ready, and your timeline
  • your message
  • whether you ticked the box consenting to marketing emails

Automatically, when you use the site:

  • Your IP address. Cloudflare Turnstile sees it when checking that you are not a bot, and we hold it briefly in memory to limit how many times the form can be submitted from one connection. We do not store it in a database or attach it to your enquiry.
  • The page you first arrived on, and the website that sent you. This is kept in your browser's session storage and is sent to us only if you submit the form, so we know which page led to your enquiry. It is cleared when you close the tab.
  • Aggregate page views, through Vercel Web Analytics. This is cookieless, does not follow you across other websites, and is not linked to you as an individual.

There are no user accounts on this site, we do not take payments through it, and we do not ask for any information beyond the above.

Cookies

This site sets no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Vercel Web Analytics is cookieless. Cloudflare Turnstile may set a short-lived cookie as part of the bot check. The session storage described above is not a cookie and does not survive closing the tab.

How we use it

  • to reply to your enquiry and, if it goes further, to quote for and deliver work
  • to send you the automatic confirmation that your enquiry arrived
  • to send marketing emails, but only if you consented
  • to understand which pages generate enquiries, so we know what is worth writing
  • to protect the form from spam and abuse

Who else handles it

We use a small number of service providers, each only for its own function. We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising.

  • Vercel — hosts this website and provides the cookieless analytics
  • Resend — delivers the enquiry notification to us and the confirmation email to you
  • Cloudflare — provides the Turnstile bot check on the form
  • Zoho — hosts our business email, where your enquiry arrives and is kept

Beyond those providers, we would only disclose your information where the law requires it — for example in response to a court order — or if uptime100 were sold or merged, in which case your information would transfer to the new owner on the same terms set out here. We would tell you before that happened.

Information sent overseas

Some of those providers store or process information outside Australia, principally in the United States. By submitting the form you consent to your information being handled overseas by them for the purposes described above.

Marketing emails

We only send marketing email if you ticked the consent box. Every one carries an unsubscribe link, and we action unsubscribes within five business days as required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Replies to your enquiry, quotes, and messages about work we are doing for you are not marketing and are not covered by that opt-out.

Our own address is not an invitation. Publishing hello@uptime100.com.au on this site does not constitute consent to receive unsolicited commercial electronic messages, and we do not consent to receiving them.

Keeping it safe

The site is served over HTTPS, so what you type into the form is encrypted in transit. The form is protected against automated abuse, and enquiries go to a business mailbox rather than being stored in a database on this website. Our providers are established services with their own security practices.

No method of transmitting or storing information over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. If we ever became aware of a breach likely to cause you serious harm, we would notify you and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.

How long we keep it

Enquiries stay in our business email for as long as there is a realistic prospect of working together, and afterwards only where we need them as business records. Analytics data is aggregate and is retained by Vercel under its own policy. You can ask us to delete your enquiry at any time.

Accessing, correcting or deleting your information

Email hello@uptime100.com.au and we will tell you what we hold, correct anything wrong, or delete it. We aim to respond within 30 days. We may need to confirm who you are first.

Links to other websites

This site links to places we do not control — our profiles on LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram and X among them. Following one of those links takes you somewhere governed by that site's own privacy policy, not this one, and we are not responsible for how they handle your information.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, email us first and we will try to sort it out. If you are still not satisfied you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

If we change how we handle information we will update this page and the date at the top.
